Job Description:Manage production operations including machinists, welders, and assemblers
Develop and execute manufacturing plans to ensure on-time delivery and quality
Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma process improvements
Improve production planning and purchasing coordination
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team achievement
Coach and mentor team members to maximize performance and quality
Conduct performance reviews and enforce company policies
Support hiring and onboarding of new production staff
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and customer service teams
Promote open communication and a team-first approach
The Successful Applicant:
Proven experience managing manufacturing operations with machining as a core process
Background in low-volume job shop production environments
Demonstrated success in implementing manufacturing plans and process improvements
Experience leading teams of 15+ employees
Certified in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt required)
Strong engineering mindset with data-driven problem-solving skills
Familiarity with MRP systems, P&L management, and Excel
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (MBA or Master's preferred)
Strong leadership qualities: accountable, team-oriented, disciplined, and approachable
