Financial Reporting Associate

The ideal candidate will focus on delivering accurate financial reports to various regulatory bodies while supporting the accounting and finance department in New York.

Description

  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Prepare Head Office reporting, regulatory reporting to the Federal Reserve Bank, and SEC reporting
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Analyze financial data and create reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in reporting.
  • Support audits by preparing required documentation and addressing audit inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial reporting regulations and standards.
  • Provide support to senior management with ad hoc financial projects and analyses.

Profile

A successful Financial Reporting Associate should have:

  • A strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • German GAAP is experience is a plus, but not required
  • 3+ years of experience working in a financial reporting group at a bank
  • SEC and/or Federal Reserve reporting
  • Public accounting experience a plus
  • CPA a plus
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
