Description
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and comprehensive estimates that will drive the success of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed and competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects.
- Reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure comprehensive project understanding.
- Identifying risks and opportunities in the project scope and pricing.
- Supporting bid proposals and contract negotiations.
- Leading a team of junior estimators and providing mentorship where necessary.
- Continuously analyzing market trends to ensure estimates reflect current industry costs.
Profile
- Experience estimating, preferably with a general contractor on ether Multifamily or Commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
