Job Requirements of Construction Project Manager - Class A / Interior:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in Class A interior construction to lead and oversee high-end commercial build-outs from start to finish.The ideal candidate will bring exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and communication skills to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of interior construction projects including preconstruction, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout.
Collaborate with architects, designers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project goals and design intent.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
Oversee procurement, subcontractor selection, and contract administration.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality control.
Lead weekly project meetings with clients and internal teams to review progress, address challenges, and plan next steps.
Identify and mitigate potential risks while ensuring cost-effective project execution.
Manage financial aspects of projects including change orders, billing, and forecasting.
Mentor and support project engineers, assistant project managers, and field staff.
Ensure strict adherence to company standards, safety policies, and client expectations.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience managing Class A interior construction projects (corporate offices, tenant improvements, high-end commercial spaces, etc.).
Proven track record of successfully delivering multiple projects valued from $1M-$20M+.
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and interior finish standards.
Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar platforms.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and foster strong client relationships.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately.
Experience managing subcontractors and vendors while maintaining schedule and quality expectations.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
