Superintendent
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Superintendent to oversee day-to-day on-site operations for our commercial construction projects throughout Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing field personnel, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Our client is a reputable Connecticut-based Commercial General Contractor with a strong portfolio of successful projects across a variety of sectors, including retail, health care, education, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
Description
Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities from start to finish.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
Monitor project schedules and work closely with project managers to ensure timely completion.
Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
Ensure compliance with all building codes, regulations, and company standards.
Communicate regularly with clients, inspectors, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
Maintain accurate site documentation including daily logs, progress photos, and incident reports.
Proactively identify and address potential issues or delays before they impact the schedule or budget.
Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
Profile
Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
Proven experience with ground-up, interior fit-out, and renovation projects.
Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, safety regulations, and scheduling.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents, blueprints, and specifications.
Tech-savvy; comfortable using project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
OSHA 30 certification required.
Valid driver's license
