Superintendent - Integrated Real Estate Developer

My client is a leading construction and project management company specializing in a wide portfolio of projects. They are a fully integrated developer, meaning they GC their own work. They have a 60-unit apartment complex breaking ground in Q3, and they are looking for a seasoned construction superintendent with a desire to work in a relaxed, tight knit culture with 100% of projects within 45 minutes of downtown Madison. Description

  • Act as day‑to‑day field leader on assigned projects
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, with a strong focus on MEP‑intensive scopes
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare construction standards, infection control requirements, and safety protocols
  • Maintain strong client relationships, particularly with VA stakeholders
  • Review drawings, sequences, and scopes to proactively identify conflicts
  • Occasionally perform hands‑on work when needed (swing a hammer)
  • Work closely with the General Superintendent and Ownership

Profile

  • Demonstrated track record of five years as a successful Construction Superintendent in commercial construction.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, inspiring and motivating project teams to achieve outstanding results.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, facilitating effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accurate project implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction safety practices, regulations, and compliance, prioritizing the well-being of the project team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, adept at prioritizing tasks and meeting project deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
