Process Engineer
As a Process Engineer. you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and enhancing our manufacturing
processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of production lines,
driving continuous improvement initiatives, and providing technical expertise to support our manufacturing
operations.

Our Client is a leading custom plastics manufacturing company specializing in blow molding and injection molding. Established in 1971, the company has over 50 years of experience in delivering high-quality, precision-molded plastic products across various industries, including medical, pharmaceutical, life sciences, industrial, and consumer goods.
Description
- Process Optimization - Lead blow molding and injection molding process optimization efforts to improve cycle times, reduce scrap, and increase productivity
- Production Support - Lead and assist Setup Technicians, Process Technicians, and Junior Engineers in machinesetup, production startup, and process monitoring.
- Product/Process Development - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality
- Assurance, and Production, to support new product development and process validation.
- Process Troubleshooting - Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of process deviations, equipment failures, and quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, equipment, SOPs and work instructions.
- Process Documentation - Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, best practices, SOP's and work instructions. Ensure all production documentation requirements are met.
- Training and Development - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and production personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Ensure their understanding and adherence to established processes and procedures.
- Communication - Effectively communicate with management, engineers, technicians, and production staff to ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines, and expectations. Facilitate pre-shift meetings to provide updates on production status, equipment conditions, and any new or ongoing maintenance issues.
- Safety and Compliance - Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety
Profile
- Experience in GMP, ISO 9001:20015, lean manufacturing, 5S, process troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Strong technical expertise in plastic processing, including knowledge of polymer materials, tooling design, and equipment operation.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in blow molding and/or injection molding.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hands-on equipment troubleshooting and repair.
Job Offer
- Salary: $90,000 - $120,000
