This general contractor is a nationwide commercial builder established about 5 decades ago and headquartered North of Dallas. It specializes in design‑build and turnkey construction across sectors such as automotive, aviation, manufacturing, trucking and transportation, and warehouse/distribution. The firm is known for a client‑focused approach that emphasizes integrity, sustainable building practices, and strong industry partnerships. - Directly responsible for supervising all on-site project sub-contractors.
- Administer first aid when necessary.
- Approve material requests and delivery.
- Assists Project Manager by overseeing the field construction processes.
- Walk with 3rd party inspections (i.e. geo-tech, structural engineer, fireproofing consultant) for activities directly supervised.
- Report deficiencies, problems, and delays to project manager.
- Responsible for the walk-through inspection ensuring passage from local municipal inspectors.
Profile
- Proven tilt-wall construction experience - hands-on experience managing all phases, from forming and casting to lifting and panel erection.
- Knowledge of structural and architectural drawings - ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications related to tilt-wall systems.
- Scheduling expertise - capable of sequencing tilt-up construction phases efficiently within the project schedule.
- Understanding of safety codes and regulations - including OSHA and site-specific protocols, especially during panel erection.
- Strong field leadership - ability to manage trades, subcontractors, and field labor effectively.
- Communication skills - clearly conveys information to project managers, owners, engineers, and field crews.
- Proficiency with construction technology - such as Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, or similar field management tools.
