Senior Project Manager
We're seeking a driven and experienced Senior Project Manager to join a fast-growing general contractor in Madison, NJ. This is a unique opportunity to lead complex projects in urban or occupied settings while building your own team from the ground up.

Description
Project Management: Oversee and execute construction projects from precon through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality standards are met.
Team Leadership: Lead communication and coordination with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
Occupied Spaces: Navigate and manage complex occupied environments-working around active hospitals, schools, or urban dwellings.
Mentorship and Development: Build and manage internal teams as the company grows, with an eye on mentorship and leadership development.
Subcontractor Relationships: Leverage your local NJ subcontractor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and dependable execution.
Project Ownership: Take full ownership of your projects with autonomy, including determining your work location and team structure.
Profile
A true Senior Project Manager with 8+ years of experience, ideally in complex urban or occupied site projects (e.g., hospitals, schools, residential renovations).
Someone who thrives in dynamic, high-touch environments-not someone who spent two years in a cornfield building a spec apartment.
Proven track record leading ground-up and renovation projects in city or high-density areas.
Experience with reputable general contractors and looking to escape stagnation for a more entrepreneurial setting.
Strong network of subcontractors in the NJ area is essential.
Confident, autonomous, and ready to grow into a leadership role as the company expands.
Job Offer
Competitive base salary: up to $180K (based on experience)
Equity opportunity: Fractional ownership offered after 1 year of service
