CNC Manufacturing Engineer - Worcester, MA

$90,000 - $110,000/Year

The CNC Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for creating shop sketches and travelers from prints, programming/operating CNC equipment, and conducting in-process and final quality inspections while supporting the QC program. In this role you will also collaborate with management and shop personnel, participating in production meetings, coordinating with customers and vendors, and performing on-site field measurements for special projects. My client is a full-service metal fabrication shop in the Worcester, MA area. They are seeking a CNC Manufacturing Engineer with Mastercam programming expertise to join their team. Operating out of a modern facility, the company delivers a full range of service-providing customers with a true one-stop solution for custom steel and stainless fabrications.

Description

The main responsibilities for the CNC Manufacturing Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Program CNC machines using Mastercam, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD software
  • Review and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications to generate accurate machining instructions
  • Partner with machinists and fabricators to streamline operations and ensure successful production runs
  • Perform inspections of finished components using precision measuring equipment to validate compliance with specifications
  • Assist with machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvements
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives

Profile

The successful CNC Manufacturing Engineer will have the following qualifications:

  • Strong background in quality control and project management
  • Working knowledge of welding, machining, and fabrication best practices
  • Experience in mechanical engineering and CNC programming
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented with strong communication abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred
  • Familiarity with AISC and MassDOT standards is a plus
