We are currently partnered up with a growing Manufacturing company in their search to add a Safety and Quality Engineer to the team due to growth. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience ideally within a hybrid role between EHS & Quality and will have exposure to working with OSHA and ISO 9001. Description

The Safety and Quality Engineer - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:



Safety Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs to comply with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Train employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations.


Quality Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and participate in external audits to maintain certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
  • Investigate product defects and process deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Work closely with production teams to improve product quality and reduce defects.
  • Maintain and analyze quality data to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Profile

The ideal Safety and Quality Engineer - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in safety and quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ISO 9001, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) and safety management systems (SMS).
  • Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Job Offer

The successful Safety and Quality Engineer - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:

  • Base Salary of $70,000-$100,000 depending on experience
