Description
As an Director of Preconstruction - Top Restoration GC - Charlotte, you'll play a key role in project delivery and team success by:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all preconstruction activities including budgeting, conceptual estimating, and detailed takeoffs for restoration and remediation projects
- Collaborate with ownership, project managers, and clients during early project phases to define scope, schedule, and cost
- Manage and mentor preconstruction and estimating staff, ensuring consistent processes and accurate deliverables
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and vendor pricing
- Maintain and leverage historical cost data for future projects
- Develop scopes of work and participate in contract negotiations as needed
- Support business development efforts through proposal preparation and client presentations
- Ensure estimates are aligned with company margin goals and project objectives
- Stay current on industry trends, pricing, and best practices in restoration and insurance-related construction
Profile
The successful Director of Preconstruction - Top Restoration GC - Charlotte should have the following qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years of experience as a Precon Manager or Estimator, working on multifamily and/or commercial construction or restoration projects.
- Education: BS in Construction Management or a related field (preferred, not required).
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with construction software.
- Motivated: A strong drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.
