We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent with experience in public construction projects to oversee the successful execution of large-scale builds. The ideal candidate will manage site operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead project teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.

Description

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of public construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
  • Ensure projects adhere to all safety standards, local building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and laborers to ensure the project stays on track and on budget.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, and government representatives.
  • Conduct daily site inspections, resolve any construction issues, and manage any changes to project scope.
  • Prepare and review project reports, timelines, and budgets, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Oversee site safety, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety policies and protocols.
  • Ensure quality control by monitoring work standards and maintaining a focus on craftsmanship and detail.

Profile

  • Extensive experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a proven track record in managing public construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, regulations, and safety standards specific to public sector work.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, contracts, and specifications.
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
