Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations | Medical Device

This position oversees early‑stage manufacturing operations within a medical‑technology environment, focusing on prototype builds, validation efforts, and the initial phases of production. The role bridges engineering and operations, ensuring new products are assembled reliably through well‑designed processes, solid documentation practices, and disciplined execution before scaling into broader manufacturing.

Description

• Direct and coordinate internal pilot‑level manufacturing activities that support product development, verification, and early production runs.
• Establish dependable build schedules and drive operational preparedness to ensure each manufacturing iteration is executed smoothly and on time.
• Work closely with process engineering teams to mature manufacturing methods so they become consistent, repeatable, and ready for future scaling.
• Ensure that all work instructions, build criteria, and supporting documents are complete, accurate, and ready before production begins.
• Support new product introduction initiatives by guiding the transition from engineering prototypes into structured manufacturing workflows.
• Collaborate with quality, supply chain, and engineering functions to maintain alignment on product performance, compliance, and operational goals.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of manufacturing supervisors, engineers, and production operators.
• Provide leadership with clear and accurate insight into manufacturing outcomes, operational risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Profile

• 8-12+ years of operational or manufacturing experience, ideally within a regulated medical‑device or similar environment.
• Proven success managing manufacturing teams in compliance‑driven settings.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing practices, documentation systems, and quality frameworks.
• Demonstrated capability to guide cross‑functional groups spanning engineering, quality, and operations.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills with a focus on operational excellence.

Job Offer

• Compensation: Base salary target $175,000 - $185,000 Performance Bonus
