Design Quality Engineer

This role ensures that new and existing electromechanical products meet strict quality, reliability, and regulatory expectations throughout the design and development process. It involves leading design‑focused investigations, conducting FMEAs, supporting qualification testing, and driving compliance through cross‑functional collaboration and rigorous documentation.

Description

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes for product design in the engineering and manufacturing department.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to enhance product quality and performance.
  • Identify and resolve design-related quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update documentation related to quality standards and processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in the engineering and manufacturing process.
  • Provide training and guidance on quality standards and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics to ensure compliance with company goals.

Profile

A successful Design Quality Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality or design engineering roles focused on aerospace connectors.
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality systems and standards, including AS9100 and AS9102.
  • Proficiency with quality tools including FMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, APQP, and PPAP.
  • Experience with environmental and mechanical testing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, material specifications, and electrical schematics.
