Description

The Quality Manager (Automotive) will:

• Lead and manage the quality team, including engineers, technicians, inspectors, and second-shift staff
• Oversee all quality assurance activities across production, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 standards
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality systems, processes, and team performance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal quality issues and customer concerns
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures and documentation
• Train, mentor, and evaluate quality team members to build technical and leadership capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, production, and supply chain
• Analyze quality data and trends to identify root causes and corrective actions
• Support audits, regulatory inspections, and customer visits
• Ensure inspection processes and standards are consistently applied across shifts
• Maintain a proactive approach to risk management and defect prevention
• Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous learning within the quality team

Profile

The successful Quality Manager (Automotive) applicant will have:

• 8-10 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong background in IATF 16949 required
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing quality teams
• Hands-on experience with quality tools such as root cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA, and SPC
• Familiarity with metal stamping, machining, or assembly operations is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
• Experience supporting customer audits, internal audits, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to analyze data and drive process improvements based on findings
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Comfortable managing across multiple shifts and functions
• Demonstrated ability to build a positive team culture and resolve personnel challenges
• Experience in high-mix, precision manufacturing environments preferred
