Front Office IT Business Analyst Support
This role is for a Front Office IT Business Analyst who will provide Level 1 functional support and business analysis for trading and risk management applications used across various Global Markets teams. The position involves addressing user issues, gathering requirements, testing new features, and coordinating with both traders and IT development teams to enhance system functionality.

As a client, they require robust trading, risk management, and support systems to manage complex financial instruments across global markets efficiently.
Description
Key responsibilities include working closely with Trading desks to build trusted relationships and provide timely functional and technical support for front-office applications. The role involves managing and resolving Level 1 support requests, logging and tracking incidents, and ensuring appropriate escalation when needed. You will gather and document business requirements directly from traders and stakeholders for enhancements to systems related to trade execution, booking, pricing, P&L, and risk management.
Additionally, you will perform functional testing of new features and fixes to ensure alignment with trading workflows and compliance standards. The role includes creating user documentation, delivering training sessions, and continuously monitoring application performance to maintain optimal front-office operations. Close collaboration with IT Development teams is essential to communicate user needs, prioritize fixes and enhancements, and support project delivery. Regular status reporting to stakeholders and adherence to internal controls and industry best practices are also key aspects of the role.
Profile
A successful candidate will have a solid academic foundation with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Finance, coupled with hands-on experience in IT business analysis or support roles within Front Office environments in the financial sector. They will possess strong knowledge of financial products-such as Structured Products, Equity Derivatives, TRS, Repo, and Credit instruments-and a deep understanding of their associated trade workflows.
The ideal candidate will have experience with key trading and booking platforms (e.g., Fidessa, Dash, Markitwire, Sophis) and be familiar with systems supporting pricing, P&L, risk management, and instrument data referentials. Proficiency in SQL is an asset, along with excellent communication skills to support and liaise effectively with traders and stakeholders. They will thrive in high-pressure environments, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is also considered a plus.
A background working in the financial sector is a must, as well as expertise in Front Office.
Job Offer
Immediate start date, 2 round interview process, a 3 days in office hybrid schedule out of Midtown Manhattan(in office days are none flexible).
