2nd Shift Production Supervisor - Rochester, NH
The Second Shift Production Supervisor leads the evening production team to ensure timely execution of the daily production schedule and on-time fulfillment of customer orders, while upholding strict safety and quality standards. This role also involves hands-on oversight, with both the supervisor and team members responsible for assembling products using various hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and following detailed work instructions and testing protocols.

Description
Key Responsibilities of the 2nd Shift Production Supervisor:
Collaborate across shifts to provide clear leadership and operational oversight, ensuring alignment with production goals and quality standards.
Oversee workforce deployment to maintain production flow and meet customer requirements in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to production activities, including verification of device history records and associated paperwork.
Monitor compliance with routine operational protocols, including cleanliness and equipment readiness.
Proactively identify and escalate issues related to quality, materials, equipment, or staffing that may impact production efficiency.
Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams-Engineering, Technical Services, and Materials-to troubleshoot issues and maintain workflow continuity.
Contribute to ongoing process improvements and support lean initiatives in partnership with the Production Manager.
Promote a culture of operational excellence by facilitating skills training, ensuring process adherence, and supporting team development.
Provide performance insights to support formal employee evaluations and guide development discussions.
Profile
Ideal 2nd Shift Production Supervisor:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
3-5 years of leadership experience in medical device production or a similarly regulated field, with a focus on assembly, packaging, or inspection processes.
Capable of understanding and applying written procedures, safety protocols, and operational guidelines.
Comfortable using basic computer systems; familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is advantageous.
Practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods and continuous improvement strategies is preferred.
