This Senior Quality Engineer will strengthen, improve, and maintain a high‑performing Quality Management System while ensuring compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements. The role blends analytical problem-solving with hands‑on collaboration across Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to drive proactive, scalable quality initiatives.

- Maintain, elevate, and enforce the company's QMS to meet strict regulatory and customer standards.
- Lead key quality processes including ECO, CRB, RCCA, CAPA, MRB, FMEA, Hazop, and validation efforts.
- Oversee internal, customer, and third‑party audits while ensuring timely closure of all findings.
- Create and update controlled documentation including procedures, work instructions, and forms.
- Deliver QMS training to strengthen quality culture across the organization.
- Reduce defects by linking QC trends to upstream process issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Track and analyze quality KPIs such as yield, defect rates, rework, and audit trends.
- Partner with QC to standardize inspection methods, criteria, and defect categorization.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance process capability and limit variation.
- Support digital quality initiatives such as machine vision inspection or electronic defect tracking.
- Engage in supplier quality management and incoming inspection support when required.
- Champion a proactive, prevention‑focused quality mindset across all teams.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years' experience in aerospace, precision manufacturing, ceramics, or highly technical industries.
- Strong command of AS9100 or ISO 9001 systems, audits, and documentation practices.
- Skilled in root‑cause analysis, CAPA, and data-driven quality improvement tools.
- Comfortable with metrology, inspection methods, defect classification, GD&T, PLM, and ECO workflows.
- Proficient with data tools such as Excel or Power BI.
- ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, Lead Auditor) preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel as needed and perform on both tactical and strategic levels.
