Our client is a top ENR firm, family-owned and based in Connecticut. They are seeking a Superintendent for their Providence, RI team, with an initial focus on a ground-up public school project. They emphasize long-term employment rather than hiring on a project-to-project basis, with future projects including K-12 schools, higher education facilities, and industrial/healthcare developments.

Construction Superintendent - Public Schools K-12 - RI - Responsibilities

• Overseeing & managing Large Public Academic projects from start through completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
• Coordinating & collaborating with necessary project parties
• Leading site personnel, providing guidance to ensure the highest levels of safety, productivity, and performance
• Developing relationships with clients, and maintaining open lines of communication
• Managing project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, daily logs, and progress reports
• Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
• Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all individuals involved in the project
• Upholding company image / professionalism

Profile

Construction Superintendent - Public Schools K-12 - RI - Will have

• 5+ years experience as a Superintendent / Assistant Super with a GC
• Commutable to RI area
• Strong background in large scale ground-up commercial work along the lines of (K-12, higher-ed, institutional, state, federal, healthcare - not residential or multifamily)
• Solid Tenure with a reputable GC
• Proven ability to run a large job - the project will be around $60M - open to someone who has a lot of LARGE project experience as a second super and is ready to take that next step
