Business Development Head
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and scientifically fluent Head of Business Development
Lead the company`s commercial growth globally, across USA, Europe, Japan, etc.
Client Details
Our client is a rapidly evolving global cryo-EM and AI-driven platform focused on accelerating early-stage drug discovery. With 8 cutting-edge 300kV cryo-EM instruments and a mission to push the boundaries of structural biology, they partner with pharma and biotech innovators to unlock new frontiers in therapeutics.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a global business development strategy to expand client base and increase market share.
- Identify, engage, and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders across pharma R&D, biotech, and academic institutions.
- Promote their cryo-EM services and integrated AI technology solutions for drug discovery.
- Collaborate with internal scientific and technical teams to tailor solutions to client needs.
- Represent them at industry conferences, networking events, and partner meetings.
- Lead deal negotiations, including service agreements and strategic partnerships.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support service innovation and product positioning.
Profile
A successful Business Development Head should have:
- PhD in Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in business development, scientific sales, or alliance management within the life sciences sector, with solid tracking recording.
- Strong network within pharma R&D, biotech, and academic research communities cross different region.
- Deep understanding of protein characterization, cryo-EM, antibodies, and early drug discovery workflows.
- Proven ability to build strategic partnerships and close complex service deals.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Job Offer
- Salary range of $250000 - $300000 USD annually.
