We are seeking a highly skilled Construction - Senior Estimator - Stamford, CT to lead the preparation of accurate and comprehensive estimates for mid to high-rise residential and commercial office projects in Stamford, CT. Description

Construction - Senior Estimator - Stamford, CT

  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and construction facilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Attend pre-bid/proposal conferences and on-site visits to gather essential project information.
  • Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work and analyze subcontractor quotes for best value.
  • Prepare project bid status reports and ensure compliance with specifications and contract statements.
  • Present cost estimates to support customer proposals, considering general and special conditions.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs, prepare cost summary sheets, and input data into estimating software.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of cost codes and historical data for accurate pricing.
  • Utilize historical data and industry standards for pricing estimates and project planning

Profile

Construction - Senior Estimator - Stamford, CT

  • Holds a 4-year degree in building construction, engineering, or a construction-related field.
  • Possesses 7-10 years of experience in project estimating with in the Building and construction industry
  • Demonstrates advanced project estimator skills, including value engineering calculations.
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and engineering terminology.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and database software.
