Electronics -Manufacturing Engineer - Leominster, MA
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for implementing lean processes, equipment, and tooling for new and redesigned products, focusing on improving manufacturing efficiency. They collaborate with the new product development team to drive cost reductions, improve processes, and minimize waste and rework.

My client is a leader in electrical power connectors, partnering with innovative companies to design cutting-edge solutions. They specialize in high-power applications for industries like alternative energy, electric vehicles, data centers, LED lighting, and battery charging.
Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and completion of responsibilities for New Product Projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate cost information, design for manufacturing, and review design specifications for completeness and production impact.
- Lead the conceptual design, ordering, and timely implementation of tooling.
- Coordinate tooling, material, equipment, and methods to meet quality and cost objectives.
- Create and maintain the Production Documentation Package.
- Lead Kaizens and implement lean tools, including 5S, Poke Yoke, Visual Management, TPM, Quick Change, Single Piece Flow, and Kanban.
- Review and optimize existing products and processes to reduce costs, scrap, rework, and lead time.
- Investigate, specify, and justify new capital equipment purchases, coordinating installation and process integration.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- A Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technology-related field (e.g., BSME, BSGE, BSIE).
- At least 5 years of experience in relevant roles.
- Strong knowledge of various manufacturing processes, materials, equipment, and tools.
- Proven ability to manage capital and new product projects from concept through successful implementation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Project Management experience is preferred.
