Estimator - Retail & Restaurant Projects - Rockland MA
We are partnered with an established commercial general contractor to hire a Mid‑Level Estimator to support a high‑volume retail and commercial pipeline. This role offers strong exposure to repeat national clients, fast project turnaround, and long‑term growth within a stable organization.

Our client is a well‑respected general contractor headquartered in Rockland, MA, with over 40 years of experience serving New England and Upstate New York. Founded in 1979, they specialize in retail, restaurant, corporate, and commercial construction and are known for their long‑standing relationship with major national brands, including a Fortune 100 retail client. Their collaborative culture, transparent communication style, and exceptionally low turnover have earned them repeat business year after year and set the foundation for continued growth over the next five years.
Description
- Prepare accurate estimates for multiple retail and commercial projects simultaneously
- Manage 3-4 active estimates at a time with project values ranging from $1M-$5M
- Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for completeness
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing using Procore, Bluebeam, and Excel
- Collaborate directly with internal teams and leadership during preconstruction
- Support a fast‑paced bid environment with typical project durations of ~3 months
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and standards

Profile
A successful Estimator should have:
- Strong background in construction cost estimation within the business services industry.
- Proficiency in using estimation software and related tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities with project teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate estimates.
- Knowledge of industry standards and building codes.
Job Offer
- 2-4 years of construction estimating experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Recent and extensive retail construction estimating experience required
- Background estimating projects such as retail stores, restaurants, or commercial interiors
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Excel
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and client‑focused mindset
- Self‑starter who is motivated, collaborative, and eager to grow
