Workday Operations Manager
The Workday Operations Manager will oversee the maintenance and optimization of Human Capital Management (HCM) system, including Advanced Compensation and Talent Management while leading simplification projects and collaborating with global HR stakeholders. This role requires hands-on Workday experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage HRIS operations and initiatives across various divisions to support enterprise objectives.

Description
The Workday Operations Manager will play a crucial role within our client's Corporate HRIS team, bringing both functional and technical expertise in Human Capital Management (HCM), Advanced Compensation, and Talent Management administration. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the HCM system, including managing data entry validations and overseeing HR intake requests. You will also lead simplification projects across the global enterprise, outside of the 80 initiatives covering regions like the Americas, UK, Europe, and Asia.
This role involves acting as an internal consultant to global HR stakeholders while working alongside a team of Workday specialists within Corporate HR. You will collaborate with various divisions, corporate functions, IT, and HR teams to ensure that Workday and Talent Acquisition investments are aligned with enterprise goals and enhance the employee experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide daily operational support and implementation guidance for Workday HCM, Advanced Compensation, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and related applications, ensuring alignment with our client's Workday roadmap.
- Monitor and manage global HR systems and activities, suggesting improvements to HR leadership.
- Partner with stakeholders to design and implement new processes, system enhancements, and workflows for global compliance within Workday.
- Develop and implement strategies for Advanced Compensation that align with enterprise objectives.
- Leverage business insights to create solutions that balance the needs of individual departments with broader organizational goals.
- Support user adoption through training and communication, ensuring effective use of the HCM system.
- Manage product backlogs and production support tickets.
- Build and maintain relationships with key business partners to integrate Workday requirements into various divisions.
- Provide consulting on new business and technology initiatives to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Work independently in a decentralized environment, collaborating effectively with global teams.
- Apply our client's Compensation Framework within Workday to support enterprise initiatives.
- Proactively address challenges and lead a high-performing HRIS team.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications in Compensation or Human Resources.
- Extensive experience with Advanced Compensation, including merit and bonus planning for a global public company.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Certifications in Workday HCM, Advanced Compensation, Talent, and Absence.
- Hands-on experience leading global Workday implementations and system optimizations.
- 5+ years of experience working with corporate leaders on projects, particularly in Compensation Management and HR functions.
- 8+ years of experience in Compensation Management, with a background in Enterprise planning.
- 5+ years of experience in HRIS system administration, Talent Acquisition, Global Payroll, and Data Analytics.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Workday, Phenom, Beamery, SAP SuccessFactors, and Dayforce.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Data Modeling, and/or Power BI.
- Willingness to work on-site five days a week.
The Workday Operations Manager will report directly to the Global HRIS Leader, with approximately 35% of time spent collaborating closely with the Compensation and functional teams.
