Buyer/ Planner

The Buyer/Planner will play a key role in the Procurement & Supply Chain department, managing purchasing and planning activities to ensure seamless operations within the life science industry. This role requires excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to maintaining inventory levels and supplier relationships.

Description

• Develop and execute purchasing plans to support production schedules and inventory needs.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• Analyze demand forecasts and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing activities with business goals.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to achieve cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all procurement activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Profile

A successful Buyer/Planner should have:

• Experience in procurement and supply chain management within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and other supply chain management tools.
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to managing multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with Kanban and ECOs
• Demand planning experience
