Assistant Project Manager - Multi-Family Construction

Description

  • Assist in the planning and execution of construction and renovation projects, including big box and light industrial work, by supporting project managers in daily operations.

  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment on project specifications and timelines, facilitating clear communication among all parties.

  • Support project scheduling and budgeting by tracking progress, monitoring costs, and helping ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.

  • Assist in enforcing compliance with quality and safety standards throughout all project phases.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders by preparing updates, assisting in issue resolution, and ensuring smooth project workflow.

  • Evaluate project performance by tracking key metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting in the implementation of solutions.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, progress reports, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and organization.

  • Work closely with project teams, fostering collaboration and supporting team members in understanding their roles and responsibilities.

Profile

Experience:

  • Extensive experience supporting project management in the construction industry, with a focus on multifamily residential projects.

  • Proven ability to assist in delivering multifamily developments on schedule and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Hands-on experience coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of construction practices, multifamily building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

  • Proficient in project management software and tools, with excellent organizational and planning skills tailored to multifamily projects.

  • Effective communicator with strong negotiation abilities to coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and municipal officials.

  • Adept at managing project documentation, tracking budgets, and ensuring compliance with project timelines.
