Construction Project Engineer - Orlando, FL
The Project Engineer will assist in the management and coordination of commercial construction projects, specifically for Universal Studios Orlando. This role involves supporting project teams, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Our client is a well-established commercial general contractor with extensive experience in delivering large-scale projects for major clients, including Universal Studios in Orlando. Known for their expertise in complex, high-profile commercial construction, they are seeking a Junior Project Engineer to join their team and help manage high-impact projects in the entertainment and hospitality sectors.
Description
- Assist with the day-to-day management of commercial construction projects, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and according to project plans.
- Support senior project managers and engineers in preparing technical documents, project reports, and schedules.
- Help coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and other project team members to ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor project progress and assist in identifying and resolving issues or delays.
- Conduct site visits to ensure construction quality and adherence to safety standards.
- Assist in reviewing project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with contract requirements and local regulations.
- Help prepare cost estimates, budgets, and track project expenses.
- Maintain accurate records and project documentation, ensuring they are up to date.
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and participate in client meetings as needed.
Profile
- Experience: A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field; ideally 1-2 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in a related industry or with a focus on large-scale projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction scheduling tools is a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in tracking project progress, budgets, and schedules.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential issues early and assist in resolving them quickly to keep projects on track.
- Team-Oriented: Collaborative and able to work well within a team environment.
- Eager to Learn: Motivated and ready to develop a deeper understanding of commercial construction and project management processes.
