Director of Accounting

Description
Please see the key responsibilities for the Director of Accounting Below:
- Produce accurate and timely financial, analyzes monthly financial results and provides commentary on variances.
- Lead the annual corporate audit and other periodic audits.
- Possess and maintain a working knowledge of and ensure compliance with federal and state laws in all areas of accounting.
- Manage the cash flow to ensure financial stability and efficient use of resources.
- Provide financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial information.
- Responsible for the establishment and effectiveness of internal controls and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
Profile

- Public / Private Experience.
- 5+ years Public Accounting Audit Experience.
- 5+ years experience owning P&L and Audit responsibility of a distribution or manufacturing company.
- Experience leading local, state, federal tax filings for multiple legal entities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- CPA/MBA preferred
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
