Director of Construction Operations - Meriden, CT

We're seeking an experienced Director of Construction Operations to lead project management, field, and administrative teams for a well-established general contractor based in Meriden, Connecticut. Description

• Oversee all aspects of project delivery - from preconstruction to closeout - ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and safety standards.

• Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, and support staff across multiple active sites.

• Develop and implement operational procedures and performance metrics to drive efficiency and quality.

• Partner with executive leadership to forecast workload, allocate resources, and manage client relationships.

• Support business development efforts and help position the firm for strategic growth.

Profile

• 10-15+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction management, including leadership roles overseeing multiple projects.

• Proven background managing teams and project portfolios ranging from $5M to $50M+.

• Strong understanding of both field and office operations.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in Connecticut's commercial construction market is highly preferred.
