Our client is a reputable, General Contractor in the Greater Kansas City area. Founded 25+ years ago, they specialize in the commercial and multi-family spaces. Due to growth in the pipeline, they are looking to bring on an experienced and dedicated Operations Manager to join the team. This individual will be essential to their work/projects and long-term growth of the organization!

Description

  • Project Oversight: Manage daily operations of construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and laborers.
  • Scheduling: Develop and monitor project timelines, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, control costs, approve expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets company standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage materials, equipment, and manpower to optimize productivity.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Client Relations: Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing progress updates.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may delay project completion.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports, financial updates, and post-project evaluations for senior management.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in construction operations or project management.
  • Experience working in the multi-family and commercial construction spaces.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
