Client Details

We are currently partnered up with a growing Manufacturing Company in their search to add a Safety Specialist to the team due to growth within the company. This position will report into the Quality Supervisor and will work to improve the safety culture at the Manufacturing site. Experience writing policies and procedures and the ability to implement them is required with 2+ years of manufacturing experience. This position will be 70% safety and the other 30% will be working with the Quality team on auditing. Description

The Safety Specialist - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs to comply with OSHA, EPA, and company regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analysis in production areas.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Provide safety training for employees on topics such as PPE, machine guarding, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and emergency response.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and best practices.
• Collaborate with management to enhance the company's safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain safety records, including injury logs, near-miss reports, and compliance documentation.

• Conduct internal audits to assess adherence to quality management systems and production standards.
• Work with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.
• Support ISO and other regulatory compliance audits.
• Monitor and verify corrective and preventive actions related to audit findings.
• Collaborate with the quality team to ensure alignment between safety and quality initiatives.

Profile

The ideal Safety Specialist - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
• Experience: 2+ years in a safety-related role within a manufacturing or industrial setting, with experience in quality auditing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Experience conducting safety and quality audits.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

Job Offer

The Successful Safety Specialist - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:

• Base Salary of $55,000-$75,000 depending on experience
