The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing production, supply chain, and operational projects to ensure efficient and profitable manufacturing while driving continuous improvement. This role also involves managing teams, setting operational goals, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and collaborating with cross-functional departments to meet customer needs and company objectives.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of production, supply chain, operations projects, and continuous improvement to ensure efficient and profitable manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and control departmental budgets while leading safety initiatives, maintaining housekeeping standards, improving quality, and driving cost reduction efforts.
  • Contribute to the accuracy and effectiveness of planning and goal-setting processes by developing and achieving operational plans, goals, budgets, and capital requirements.
  • Support the development of floor supervision, foster positive employee relations, and ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Mentor and coach staff, supervise departments, and coordinate activities to meet site objectives effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products, maximizing capacity while minimizing costs in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Lead and direct Production and Supply Chain teams, facilitating coordination between departments, implementing strategy, and bridging functional management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, programs, procedures, and relevant governmental standards.
  • Manage and enhance collaboration within Production and Supply Chain teams to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and meet company performance targets.
  • Lead Project Management and Continuous Improvement teams to achieve cost savings and implement advanced processes, adhering to operational excellence programs and methodologies.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • Over 6 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or operations setting
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing and operational environments
  • Proven ability to develop teams and support individual growth
  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach
  • Experience working within quality management systems and using problem-solving methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in using computer systems, software, and business applications
  • Ability to manage team performance, demonstrate leadership, and apply strong organizational and decision-making skills
