We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer ready to step into a technical leadership role-overseeing, mentoring, and guiding a growing team. One of the fastest-growing RF technology manufacturers in the region, this company partners with leading defense and aerospace organizations around the world. They are looking for a seasoned engineering leader to take ownership of the mechanical engineering team, drive hands-on development of high-value projects, and play a key role in expanding the team as the business continues to scale.
Description
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for:
- Lead the day-to-day activities of the mechanical engineering team, setting priorities and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Review and approve critical design documents, including CAD models, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Support the development of product requirements and specifications, and contribute to overall project planning and execution.
- Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation to ensure designs meet performance and quality standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and milestones to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Profile
The successful Engineering Manager will have a background that follows:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8+ years of hands-on experience developing mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, ideally for commercial, aerospace, or defense applications.
- Proficient in 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD LT.
- Solid understanding of materials, coatings, and mechanical testing methods.
