Assistant Project Manager (Large‑Scale Multifamily Projects)

This Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of large‑scale multifamily and mixed‑use projects from preconstruction through close‑out. The role offers hands‑on responsibility, exposure to senior leadership, and a clear path to rapid progression.

Description

The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and executing large-scale construction projects.
  • Coordinating subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to maintain and program quality standards.
  • Assisting with cost control, change orders, subcontract administration, and monthly reporting.
  • Reviewing drawings, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participating in client meetings, site walks, and coordination meetings.
  • Tracking project progress and assisting with issue resolution to mitigate risk.
  • Supporting close-out activities including punch lists, O&M manuals, and turnover documentation.

Profile

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • 2+ years' experience in commercial or multifamily construction.
  • Experience supporting ground-up or major renovation projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents and project workflows.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
