My client is a well-established, fourth-generation, family-owned company has been in business for over 100 years and is headquartered in central Massachusetts. With over 600 employees and annual revenues between $150M-$200M, it functions as a multi-division enterprise serving clients across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. Its operations span construction (building, mechanical, utility, and services), real estate development, leasing, and utility management. Description

The Civil/Site work Superintendent - $200M+ GC will be responsible for:

• Oversee daily on-site operations for civil construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and in-house crews to meet project milestones and maintain quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to plan and execute work effectively.
• Resolve on-site challenges swiftly, including issues related to logistics, resources, and unforeseen obstacles.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, reports, and site logs.
• Lead site meetings and provide clear communication to teams regarding project updates and priorities.

Profile

The Civil/Sitework Superintendent - $200M+ GC should have:

• 6+ years in underground or utility construction
• Ability to sucessfully supervise projects greater than $10M
• Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Apps
• Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
• Knowledge and understanding of the general and subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, construction means, methods and materials, understanding of line and grade and survey methods.
• Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures.
