Mechanical Design Engineer - Industrial - Webster, MA
My client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who will design and develop mechanical components and systems that support advanced manufacturing processes and products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and cost objectives while adhering to industry standards.

Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and tooling for manufacturing and product applications.
- Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks or similar).
- Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and stress calculations to ensure robust designs.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and R&D teams to support new product introductions and process improvements.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical issues in production.

Profile
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
