Our client is seeking an ambitious Corporate Paralegal to support its legal team in managing corporate compliance and legal documentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate with law firm experience to gain in-house exposure, contributing to high-stakes regulatory and compliance projects in a dynamic, small-team environment.

Description

Key Responsibilities for the Corporate Paralegal include:

  • Assist General Counsel and attorneys with daily legal operations, including managing compliance projects.
  • Draft, review, and organize a variety of legal documents and contracts to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct legal research to support regulatory requirements and business operations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to streamline legal processes and facilitate alignment on compliance matters.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and other documentation for senior stakeholders and compliance audits.
  • Maintain organized records and manage secure storage of legal files and documents.
  • Support ongoing project management efforts by tracking key deadlines and ensuring timely completion of tasks.

Profile

Requirements for the Corporate Paralegal Role include:

  • Prior experience in a legal or paralegal capacity, preferably at a Tier 1 or Tier 2 law firm in New York City.
  • Strong academic credentials with a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Legal Studies, Political Science, Business).
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing law school or advancing within the legal field.
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents and contracts.
  • Ability to conduct detailed legal research and familiarity with legal research tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ambitious, proactive mindset with a strong desire to grow in a legal environment.
  • Ability to work on a hybrid schedule (3-4 days on-site per week at the New York office).
  • Willingness to commit long-term to the role, with a two-year retention period for bonus eligibility.


Job Offer

The offer for the Successful Candidate includes:
  • Competitive Base Salary: $100,000 annually.
  • Retention Bonus: $35,000 bonus after two years of employment.
  • Hybrid Work Schedule: Flexibility to work 3-4 days on-site per week at the New York City office.
  • Professional Growth Opportunity: Hands-on, in-house experience working closely with the General Counsel and legal team, ideal for a candidate preparing for law school.
