Description
The MEP Superintendent will be responsible for:
- Oversee installation and coordination of all MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, low voltage, fire protection).
- Manage subcontractors and trade labor to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.
- Develop and maintain project schedules; implement recovery strategies as needed.
- Enforce site safety programs and ensure adherence to all regulations.
- Collaborate with owners, architects, and engineers to resolve field issues.
- Lead inspections, commissioning, turnover, and training processes for all systems.
- Maintain detailed daily records of MEP trade progress and participate in preconstruction planning.
Profile
The Successful MEP Superintendent Applicant:
- Extensive experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and multi-trade coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in scheduling and project management tools; BIM experience preferred.
- Proven leadership in managing crews, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledgeable in safety standards, quality control, and compliance requirements.
- Track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
- Skilled in resource planning, cost tracking, and productivity optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong ability to anticipate risks and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project success.
Job Offer
The MEP Superintendent will receive:
- $120,000 to $160,000 salary, based on experience
