Description

The MEP Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Oversee installation and coordination of all MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, low voltage, fire protection).
  • Manage subcontractors and trade labor to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules; implement recovery strategies as needed.
  • Enforce site safety programs and ensure adherence to all regulations.
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, and engineers to resolve field issues.
  • Lead inspections, commissioning, turnover, and training processes for all systems.
  • Maintain detailed daily records of MEP trade progress and participate in preconstruction planning.

Profile

The Successful MEP Superintendent Applicant:

  • Extensive experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and multi-trade coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficient in scheduling and project management tools; BIM experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership in managing crews, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledgeable in safety standards, quality control, and compliance requirements.
  • Track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
  • Skilled in resource planning, cost tracking, and productivity optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong ability to anticipate risks and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project success.

Job Offer
