Sr Mechatronics Technician - Manufacturing - Peabody, MA

My client is looking for a Senior Mechatronics Technician to support and service their advanced electro-mechanical actuators. This role is hands-on with assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and customer support. The technician will collaborate across teams, travel occasionally for field work, and play a big role in driving customer satisfaction through service excellence.

Description

In this role you will report to the Service Manager and be responsible for:

  • Working hands-on with assembly and test equipment for electro-mechanical systems
  • Participating in root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for functional discrepancies
  • Reviewing customer field data and identifying performance trends
  • Diagnosing, disassembling, repairing, and re-assembling electromechanical components for return to customers
  • Configuring hardware and software components after installation
  • Communicating real-time data to Assembly Operations and Engineering to support process and design improvements
  • Assisting customers with equipment upgrades at field locations
  • Documenting field installations and repairs accurately
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and lab workspace for service calls
  • Managing administrative tasks including ordering repair parts and consumables
  • Educating and training customers on proper equipment usage

Profile

The successful candidate will have

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or other relevant field
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and/or electromechanical
  • PLC, Controls, CAN, python script knowledge
  • Hands-on technical abilities
