Client Details
A leading design-build company specializing in energy-efficient solutions is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to oversee quality control plans, conduct inspections, and manage client relationships to ensure that each project meets the highest standards. This role will initially require travel to active project sites in Norfolk, VA, and Charleston, SC, with long-term work in the Washington, DC area. The company focuses on delivering energy-saving projects, primarily in the federal government sector, through renovations and retrofits.
Project Details:
- Federal government projects in Washington, DC, including renovations for 12 federal buildings ($300M total, 4-year duration).
- Additional projects at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and the Charleston Navy Yard.
Travel Information:
- Candidates must be based in the Washington, DC area and willing to travel to Norfolk, VA, and Charleston, SC for project work. Long-term projects will be based in Washington, DC.

Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a QC Manager in construction, ideally in energy efficiency systems (HVAC, lighting, controls).
- Experience working on Federal or Military Projects.
- Expertise in ISO 9001 Quality Management System implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction disciplines (civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical).
- Ability to work on-site and manage remote projects with travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) certification.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green/Black Belt).
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
- Certified Quality Manager (CQM).
- Experience in energy systems project implementation and retrofitting military bases.
