Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) with a passion for the property industry and keen interest in construction and high design. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure project deadlines are met effectively.

Our client is a well-established, mid-sized company specializing in the construction industry, with a strong focus on high design residential and hospitality projects. Their projects span across the nation, and they pride themselves on delivering high-quality results for all their clients.

Description

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and implementing construction projects
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders
  • Ensure project complies with all building and safety codes
  • Coordinate team members and ensure all responsibilities are carried out efficiently
  • Work closely with project manager to ensure project is delivered on time and within budget

Profile

A successful 'Assistant Project Manager' should have:

  • Relevant degree in construction, engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in a construction project management role
  • Experience interior construction for either luxury residential or hospitality projects is essential (retail, restaurant, hotel, amenities spaces, lobbies etc.)
  • Knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and construction/project management software
