Multifamily Assistant Project Manager
We're seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join a fast-growing national real estate developer/GC, helping manage high-profile multifamily construction projects in New Jersey. Description
Project Management: Support the Project Manager in coordinating all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through completion
Schedule Management: Manage subcontractor relationships, track progress, and ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety protocols
Quality Control: Assist in RFIs, submittals, procurement tracking, and change order management
Team Leadership: Attend weekly meetings and contribute to internal reporting and client updates
Safety Compliance: Monitor site activity and collaborate with the field team to proactively resolve issues
Documentation: Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
Profile
2-5 years of experience in a construction or real estate development setting, ideally with a GC or developer
Familiarity with multifamily or large-scale commercial construction projects
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Tech-savvy - comfortable using construction management software and tools
Collaborative mindset with a desire to grow into a leadership role
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
