Project Manager - DSA Construction - Santa Barbara
We are seeking an experienced DSA Project Manager to join our team in Santa Barbara. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing public school construction projects, specifically those requiring Division of the State Architect (DSA) approval. This role will involve overseeing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring compliance with DSA requirements, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Description
- Manage and oversee all phases of DSA-regulated construction projects, from pre-construction to project closeout.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with DSA requirements and project specifications.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality control plans.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure safety compliance, and address any issues that arise.
- Lead project meetings with clients, architects, and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit required documentation to DSA, ensuring timely approvals and responses.
- Manage project budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
- Provide leadership and direction to the project team, including project engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
- Resolve any disputes or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on DSA projects.
- In-depth knowledge of DSA regulations, procedures, and requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully managing public school construction projects in California.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, including MS Project, Procore, and Bluebeam.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
