Operations Manager - Industrial Manufacturing - Warren, RI
My client is looking for an Operations Manager to join their Industrial Manufacturing organization out of the Warren, Rhode Island area. In this role, you would be working in a highly regulated environment, overseeing the day to day operations of a 24/5 facility. Some of your direct reports would be leaders on the production and supply chain teams.

They are a well-established, globally organization that produces high-performance materials including plastic products and building material. They operate in countries all over the globe, this position is out of the Warren, Rhode Island area.
Description
The main responsibilities for the Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing all production, supply chain, operations projects, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient and profitable manufacturing processes.
- Developing and managing departmental budgets while providing leadership in safety, housekeeping, quality, and cost-reduction strategies.
- Enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of planning and goal-setting processes by creating, recommending, and executing operational plans, budgets, goals, and capital requirements.
- Supporting floor supervision, foster positive employee relations, and ensure effective communication across all organizational levels.
- Mentoring and coaching personnel, supervise designated departments, and coordinate activities to meet site objectives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional site teams to guarantee the on-time delivery of high-quality products in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- Serving as a member of the site leadership team by directing production and supply chain leaders, ensuring departmental alignment, and linking strategies to functional management goals.
- Leading project management and continuous improvement teams by implementing cost-saving measures and cutting-edge processes aligned with operational excellence programs.

Profile
The successful Operations Manager will have the following qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in a management role within a manufacturing setting.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing and operational environments.
- Proven ability to develop and mentor teams and individual employees effectively.
- Strong team player with collaborative skills.
- Experience working in an ISO-certified environment and proficiency with problem-solving methodologies such as Lean principles and Six Sigma programs.
- Proficient in computer usage, including spreadsheet applications and business systems such as QAD, Kronos, and Microsoft Office, along with other related hardware and software.
- Demonstrated capability to manage performance, exhibit strong leadership and initiative, and possess exceptional organizational and decision-making skills.
- Adept at team building, employee motivation, and fostering a high level of customer focus.
