Mechanical Design Engineer - Industrial - Exeter, NH
In this Mechanical Design Engineer role you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical components and systems for new products and custom systems. You'll play a critical role in every phase of the product lifecycle, working with cross-functional teams to bring design concepts to life and drive improvements across manufacturing processes.

Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems from concept through production.
- Create and modify 3D CAD models and detailed technical drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and other engineering analyses to validate designs.
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure all designs meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including design specifications, assembly instructions, and test reports.
- Identify areas for process improvement and propose innovative solutions.

Profile
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, PTC Pro-E/Creo CAD, AutoCAD)
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with FEA analysis tools is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-collaborative teams
