Process Engineer - Plastics Manufacturing - Ossipee, NH
The Process Engineer plays a critical role in planning, directing, and optimizing manufacturing equipment and processes to ensure the production of high-quality injection-molded products. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing molding operations for new product launches, refining manufacturing procedures, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous process improvements.

My client is a leading plastic injection molding manufacturer with over three decades of experience in the industry. Located in Ossipee, Nh area, they specialize in producing high-quality, high-volume molded components for the automotive, appliance, and furniture sectors.
Description
To excel in this role, the Process Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Developing and refining molding processes using scientific molding principles, while assessing and documenting both new and existing workflows.
- Implementing and evaluating process changes to enhance product quality, production efficiency, and equipment performance.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to process technicians, operators, and other molding team members.
- Creating and maintaining clear process documentation to ensure all employees understand and follow procedures.
- Supporting manufacturing operations by identifying solutions to improve yield, throughput, and cost efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Independently managing new process development initiatives and troubleshoot existing production challenges.
- Collaborating with equipment and material vendors to address machine and material-related concerns.
- Monitoring injection molds, analyze production factors such as cycles and process capability, and recommend maintenance or refurbishment strategies.
- Communicating directly with customers to resolve technical issues and provide updates on new projects.
- Applying statistical methodologies and technical solutions to meet customer expectations in cost, quality, and delivery.

Profile
A successful Process Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Plastics, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment.
- Additional Training: RJG Master Molder certification or eDart experience is a plus.
- Technical Expertise: Strong and diverse background in injection molding processes, tooling, materials, equipment, and quality control.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and develop innovative solutions.
- Project Management: Skilled in managing multiple start-up projects simultaneously.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to mentor and guide technicians.
- Computer Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-Oriented: Highly organized, able to multitask, and capable of maintaining meticulous documentation.
- Reliability & Initiative: Self-motivated, punctual, and dependable with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
