Description
The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for:
- Familiarity with core manufacturing and quality tools such as FMEA, Design for Manufacturability (DfM), and Statistical Process Control.
- Experience driving improvements through Lean Manufacturing or Kaizen initiatives.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or ProE for 3D modeling and technical drawings.
- Comfort using inspection tools like calipers, force gauges, and other precision hand tools.
- Exposure to machining and/or precision mechanical assembly.
- Working knowledge of CMM inspection equipment.
- A strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards and awareness of regulatory requirements like RoHS and REACH.
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) to support reporting and analysis.
Profile
The successful Manufacturing Process Engineer will have a background that follows:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3+ years in manufacturing or processes engineering space
- Background in metal and sheet metal fabrication
- Bring a strong foundation in mechanical engineering with a focus on manufacturing and process improvement.
- Be comfortable moving between design, hands-on troubleshooting, and production support.
- Have experience applying quality and manufacturing tools (FMEA, DfM, SPC) to solve real-world problems.
- Show confidence in using inspection tools and equipment to ensure precision and quality.
- Understand the importance of standards and compliance, including ISO 9001, RoHS, and REACH.
- Be highly organized and analytical, using Excel and other tools to track progress and outcomes.
