Project Manager - Construction - NYC Ground Up Public
This Project Manager position is based full-time on site in Western Nassau County/Queens You'll be overseeing major ground-up public projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring delivery of complex builds across NYC.
Client Details
Our client is a leading general contractor and builder with a long history of delivering public, institutional, and large-scale ground-up projects across the five boroughs. Known for their strong reputation and ability to execute highly technical work, they partner with agencies such as the SCA, DDC, and EDC. With a growing pipeline of significant projects, they are seeking proven Project Managers to strengthen their team and deliver on upcoming builds.
Description
- Lead all phases of assigned projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and execution.
- Manage subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Oversee contract administration, change orders, and cost controls.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with ownership and agency representatives to maintain smooth project execution.
Profile
- 7-15 years of Project Management experience within NYC public projects (commercial, residential, institutional).
- Strong track record managing large-scale ground-up projects.
- Proficiency in BIM, Revit, and 2D/3D modeling tools.
- Agency project experience (SCA, DDC, EDC, jails, public institutions) strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with top-tier builders (e.g., Gilbane, Turner, STO, AECOM) is a plus.
